The Giles
County Technology Center may have available slots for adult students
during each school year for the Practical Nursing program. The slots
become available once high school students have enrolled for the
upcoming school year. Applications are accepted throughout the year and
are considered during the month of January of each year for a class
starting in the fall. Adults who complete the application process are
notified of a pre-entrance exam once it is scheduled. Once scored are
received, applicants are notified. In-county residents are given first
priority for the slots available.
The schedule for the Practical
Nursing program is the same as the students' school schedule. The first
year the class runs from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM five days per week. The
second year runs 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM daily with varying hours for clinicals.
