(Two year program for students in grades 11 & 12 - 3 high school credits for first year / 4 high school credits second year.) This is a dual enrollment program with New River Community College (ITN 107 - Personal Computer Hardware & Troubleshooting for 4 credits and ITN 106 - Microcomputer Operating Systems for 4 credits). Students learn to construct, troubleshoot, service, and repair computer systems, related components and software, and install and maintain local area networks. Completion of this program prepares students for the A+ certification exam. In the 2005-06 school year the program may also be dual enrolled with ITN 100 - Introduction to Telecommunication for 3 credits and ITN - 101 Introduction to Network Concepts. Through these classes students may prepare for the iNet+ certification and the Network+ certification.
